it’s my first post of the year here since site renewal =D!

and today my Echium had also arrived^___^ (and without even prior notification from SpiritDoll =o=;;;).

as SpiritDoll suddenly decided to phase him out, i was forced to buy him asap thus making me more broke ahaha =__=;;.

well, it’s only now that i’ve really noticed that his eyes are quite rounded at the bottom.

ah. suddenly now i think i should mod the bottom of the eyes instead of the top ahaha, too make it look droopy (but i think that would look like a mod too obvious >.<;;; ).

ehh SpiritDoll has its own nameplate, ala Volks XD.

and, somehow strangely a marking inside… “18″?? (18th Echium… made? @___@?) i dunno… i just notice these things XDD;;.

strangely though it kind of looked… yellow to me >.<;; (though i ordered specifically white). maybe it’s my lighting, i dunno… so i took out the rest of my supposed-to-be-white heads:

left to right screen: Garsh, Echium, the defective Silver, Silver, and the hand and shorts of my CP.

now it felt kind of worrying, as i was taking out the other heads separately it looked like my white heads turned -yellow-. what D=??? i kept them in bubblewrap in a box in the darkest corner of my closet >.<;;! maybe it’s their MSC?? maybe it’s the lighting (again)???

side by side though it appears that Echium has a pinkish tone to its white, so unlike Garsh’s (Garsh’s whiteness almost couldn’t be told apart from a CP’s).

i’m really just kind of concerned with my Silver though… it looks as yellow now (or much yellower even DDDDD=! ) to the defective Silver! (the defective Silver is the one with that sort of indentions at its headcap)

…and i haven’t even taken out my Elysium Leon yet =/ (now for a white skin that one is really yellow!).

another issue of concern… the Echium head looks bigger than the Garsh DDDDD= ??? (and they were supposed to be the partners in this joint >.<;;! and the Garsh was supposed to be the seme-type… *cough*). and look… even Echium’s ears are bigger ;___;.

ah… now i don’t know what to do >.<;;;… i don’t want to give up the Garsh in the future argh. but it couldn’t be helped… as the Garsh is really supposed to be made for a 60cm body >.<;; (though honestly in a 60cm body it even looks weird >.<;;).

ehh… it’s by a long shot to the moon that I.o.S. would create a for-70cm version of Garsh ;^; (but it’s not bad to hope, right? >.<;;; )

uhhh. because I’ve been too busy looking at Chen Yi and Chen (who happens to be the same face mold orz), and the new handsome Nan-kung Yau at PopoDoll. and i went over to check out Dollcatch and RickyDoll’s bodies…

ah.  i suddenly have this urge to separate Kaele from the Juri-B head >.<;;.  as i had been considering Uri Rich before…

just because the RickyDoll body is growing on me ^^;; it must be the circular elbow joint despite that split lower torso.  and also because of Heliot and Gene.

… ehh, it’s so hard to differentiate them though XD;.  but if looked at it blank, Heliot’s face is actually a little bit longer.

uhh.  still have to thoroughly convince myself that this is Kaele, as the eyes are still too big >.<;;.  Kaele is supposed to look like this:

… maybe when Heliot is released sleepy-eyed, I’d cave XD.

dunno when Ricky would release them again though >.<;;;.  or if ever he’ll release them again X__x;; because last doll correspondence was like… 5 months ago >.<;;.

awww, and i had liked her face ;^;.  i mean, not much companies do that kind of detail anymore (like that semi-split lip).  too bad they don’t do sale for the head only D=.

i really hope i see her again.

the 67 Manos are going too…  people were saying, something like the sculptor being so overwhelmed with the big size boxes in the studio D=?  even less of the odd-sized boys now D= (this would have been the ideal size of body for Kim — the size, not the muscles XD;; ).

2. aside from a new mold called Rubber, Dikadoll has the 2nd version of their 60cm hands!  with more vein/muscle detail now something i secretly wished for at the back of my mind:

maybe i’d get one in the future for Toru. if i don’t decide on getting him a taller body first ahaha

3. jointed hands seem to be the fad nowadays.

a pity, i rather like the body (though not much at elbow and knee joint, specially the elbow joint which is supposed to be a locking mechanism?  not too enamored with the old lower torso division too >.<;;)

i kind of have a feeling this has a problem with pulling knees totally to the chest… as the lower legs seem way longer than the upper >.<;;.

1. this had finally arrived a couple of weeks months ago:

JPopDolls’ Ashes Neauvou(?).  it’s an interesting mix of mainly silver, gray, and blue (which i didn’t really expect).  the guy who’ll wear this is so far put off though XDDD

2. maybe what is really making me happy is that i’ll be finally getting those wigs from Leeke.  that Slate gray i’ve long been pining for, and having surrendered to sale temptation a Le Grand Blue and some Royal Blue hairpieces. hopefully though they are the correct models =___=;;… or else there would be no way to ship them back to Leeke as it had been so long already since i got into contact with the shipper again.  due to a certain calamity september 26, i was unable to meet the person who has the wigs.

i’m mostly glad now that person is safe ^___^.

3. but this color is… like… haunting me:

i swear… L’oeil must be the most spoiled in terms of wigs.  or, actually it’s Salla because L’oeil is the only one who’s supposed to have the darkest shade of blue.  and they’re not even here yet XDDD.  L’oeil i can understand because he’s very VK and he’s supposed to have A LOT of looks (though limited only to blue as the base color), but Salla…

i think this all stems that up to now i yet have to visualize what Salla’s hair is really like.  hell, i don’t even know for sure yet what his mold is really supposed to be. i really would have wanted something that alludes to the color of the sea… maybe green or blue.  but i don’t want to waste that long long white wig i have bought for him long ago =.=;;.  so i’m stuck with putting the correct color of wefts into that long wig um… are there even any wefts as long as that wig i bought long ago???

…but still i’m looking for the perfect wig ahaha XD. =___=;;;.

4. speaking of the perfect hair for Salla… i found this awesome black-blue-blond combo. and it has no bangs too *o*.

5. i still don’t know what Toru’s hair is really supposed to be, but i think i would want something like a cross between this DoI wig and this (but with flat bangs) and Sakiyama Youji’s hair hmm i think i mentioned this before.

Dollshe eyes finalized! hehe XD.

1. i really feel so tempted to replace Toru’s body with this.  i think due to the elbow and knee caps aldkfjsdlfjsdlk.  maybe also finally get myself a Waltz♥♥♥.  CP’s body is supposed to be “normal pink” fresh out of the factory, but then i really have no idea anymore how much Toru’s body had already yellowed to the point that one already described him as “tan” orz D=.

and i would have so wanted it to be 67cm too ;o;~~~~~~~

2. i also rather like the knee joint/cap on this one — Demon Garden 1/3 Boy body V.2.

3.  #09 — uwahhh i’m really so in love with this mold ;o; ~~~ if Ryun doesn’t release anytime soon I might just replace that with this one… nooooo… must… resist…!  >o<…!.

5. i think this is the first time i saw a true resin mermaid doll.  i dunno if the previous merman Vega’s tail was actually just cloth, but this is certainly the first time i saw a true resin tail.  and multi-jointed too^o^.  awesome*___*~~~~~~~~~

6. うをッッッッッッッ*o*~~~~~~~~ this has got to be the most beautiful, realistic, kick-ass Jessica i’ve ever seen *o*~~~~~  i must admit i also kind of have a crush on this mold ahahaXD.

7. i kind of don’t understand if what they meant is that from here on it would be forever this body for the SDFs.  not that i’m complaining, i think it’s good they pretty much listened that for a body as short as this it shouldn’t be that ripped…

but still.  some actually prefer veiny ahaha (i hope they retain the veiny hands).  and it would actually be better if they provide customers an option — if it would be type 2 or type 3 that would go with the head they want (like how they do it in Iplehouse).

…actually i’m kind of thankful that Luts is not releasing their molds in white skin yet ohoho or else i’ll fret again over something i can’t have >.<;;.  still fretting over the i.o.s. body actually ;o;.

11.  ooooo it’s one of the rare times that i see a truly rare Asian-features sculpt.  Dandelion Mindulrae.  it’s 38cm though…  and at how realistically Asian she is it’s kinda freaky XDDD;;;, but still!

i would so want a bigger version of her in the future aldjslfjdlkfjl so i wouldn’t resort to this.

12.  on the Dollshe eyes…  i pretty much caved in on the 4  *dies*  Dollshe is not replying yet though, so i have no idea how to pay, and it’s the deadline today X.x;;;

didn’t realize i had quite an eye collection already^^;;.  somehow still not enough though for all the molds i have in mind *dies*

the eyes are actually darker and more vivid irl orz.

Seth has 2 eyes, a red 18mm Kanis round and this one.  It happened to be the freebie that came along with my Sard, and upon consideration really thought its almost transparent icy-ness is definitely the in-character color i’ve long been thinking about and looking for.  i hadn’t specifically requested this color too, so i guess i was lucky.  though it’s silicon (thus, attracting more dirt) and high-domed^^;;

the Redemption the Moon’s bundled default 16mm Soom Gaslight.  not really for Toru’s character though, but I really like this color still for its intense look so I’m still keeping this around for a future character.  like the Soom eye above, made of silicon and high-domed.

i call these my “googly eyes” XDD;;.  from the ED order.  Special Black-based eyes + Sweety #40 14mm low dome. another one.

ED42 (brown) – wide type Iris size 16mm low dome.  one of those eyes whose true color is really hard to capture.  that person in DoA is not lying when she said that the color really depends on the light source and how it hits the eye.  just to prove

another of those eyes that are really hard to capture, aside from it being pitch black.  my phone’s macro function can’t get to the threading either, but the threading is really gorgeous if it is observed closely.  ED40 (black) – Normal type Iris size 16mm low dome.  it also changes depending on light source and direction like so:

honestly don’t know if this should be Shi or Toru’s eye.  seems like Toru’s character’s eye shouldn’t be that pitch black.  i think in the back of my mind i’m still waiting for that Kanis black-blue to make my decision.  i mean, it’s really hard to find pure black eyes with a still distinct iris???

the one eye that i was disappointed with ahaha.  it’s out of stock in Pupapa now.  it was labeled “NC13″ and i don’t know from where in Germany it’s supposed to be from moral lesson that if an eye comes from there it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s that good… or maybe i just got the “standard” not the “special” kind of “NC13″ XDDD;;.  i mean, who wouldn’t fall in love with this kind of pretty picture???:

yeah.  irl the blue “iris ring” looks just like a simple blotch, even the threading not too natural.  not as ethereal/misty as shop pics.  oh well. but still i’m keeping this around just in  case.
